Eons ago, academia had a more or less unified purpose: to increase our understanding of the world through inquiry, research, critical thinking, and analysis. I like your idea here. I am looking forward to arguing any point whatsoever you should make. Why haven’t you made any?
The only purpose is clarification, there isn’t an ‘argument’ per se.
Any claim to ‘clarification’ is an argument. History only aspires or pretends to represent truth, through marshaling whatever verifiable facts into it’s arena of interpretation…history is in fact and always has been, argument.
